Technology Integration
We live in a technology-driven world: our society, including our children, have begun to integrate technology into their lives quite seamlessly. As educators, we must adapt and be able to teach to the digital citizens that have become our students. Technology can be integrated into the classroom on a daily basis to enhance student learning, increase student engagement and capture student attention.
I aim to give my students opportunities to explore technology and use it to demonstrate their knowledge. In the early childhood classroom, I was able to integrate and enhance student learning through technology using the iPad. I created lessons using Mimio and led small groups where students would use the lesson I created on their iPads to learn literacy and prepositions.
The possibilities with technology are truly endless, even while remembering the most important thing: balancing technology and screen time with hands-on learning.
